ADHD Coaching

 I’m Alex. I have ADHD.

Fun fact, back in 1990, I was one of the first 40 people to be diagnosed with ADHD. I’ve almost never not known about my ADHD brain and how to work with it (and against it!). Tempted to find out more? Keep scrolling…

Do you relate to any of these?

  • Do you sometimes struggle to get even the most basic tasks completed but can complete those you’re interested in?

(Click or swipe for more questions…)

  • It is a challenge to stay focussed, particularly at times when you really need to be?

(Yep, I struggle with the same…)

  • Do you make impulsive choices or have racing thoughts?

    (… you’re not alone…)

  • Have you gone from job to job or relationship to relationship or even hobby to hobby and question why you can't hold anything down?

(…this is not uncommon for ADHDers…)

  • Do you feel paralysed by the number of great ideas you have and struggle to implement any of them?

(… Euh! I’ve been there too many times…)

  • Are you hard on yourself for ‘seemingly’ not succeeding in life and everyone around you ‘apparently’ is?

(… you got to the end, keep scrolling down the page!)

If any of the above resonates with you then ADHD coaching is for you… and your wonderful brain.

Whether you are feeling anxious, frustrated, impatient or just pretty overwhelmed there is always another way.

Let’s work together to see you grow from surviving to thriving.

Is coaching with me right for you?

My ADHD Coaching programme is built with the ADHD brain in mind. It is a unique blend of different disciplines along with my 35+ years of experience of living with ADHD, including:

  • Advanced ADHD coach training

  • Counselling & psychotherapy

  • Professional mentoring & consulting

  • Wellbeing & resilience coaching

  • Mental Health First Aid

  • Positive Psychology research

  • Self-Compassion work

  • A portfolio career (Film & television, business development, & non-profit)

I tailor the coaching experience to your needs in order to help you to respectfully shift your frustrated and confused mindset to one of autonomy and action.

Who wouldn't want that?

What’s it like to work with me?

For some, coaching feels daunting, for others it's exciting and then there are some of us who just don't know where else to turn. Wherever you’re at, I got you.

Past clients have described me as compassionate, focussed, energetic, warm and respectfully challenging.

What I believe happens when two ADHDers get together, is a phenomena known as profound empathy. It’s a place where we ‘just know and feel’ the challenges almost without speaking it. It’s from this trusting place that I work with individuals and groups at their pace to achieve what has previously been unachievable.

Even though we both have ADHD, my goal as a coach is to help you understand your unique brain and then provide the grounds on which to work with it, not against it.

I’m in! What are the next steps?

  1. Book in a 45min Introductory coaching session. The aim is to find a clear understanding of what you would like to work on.

  2. By the end of this session, we will decide if we are a good match for each other. If not, I will refer you to a suitable coach. If yes, we will start a 6-week intensive ADHD coaching programme. This builds trust and creates momentum on your coaching intentions.

  3. After the 6 week intensive, we will review how you are doing and then book in additional sessions, usually twice monthly for a period of 3 months.

  4. After this time, we will review and decide whether to continue on a 3-month basis or switch to ad-hoc sessions moving forwards.
